PlainUgly.com is a static informational site. Analytics are optional and consent-gated as described below.
Saved items
If you use Save on a product card, we store that item’s on-page id in your browser only (localStorage key plainugly_saved) so your list is there on return visits. This stays on your device — it is not sent to our servers, does not require an account, and is separate from analytics. Clearing site data for PlainUgly removes saved items. Saved items do not require Accept on the cookie banner. Share Saved List creates a link that includes those item ids in the page URL so someone else can open the same list; the link is only shared if you choose to send it.
Cookies & analytics
We use optional Google Analytics (Measurement ID G-QGFVKK4T0K) only if you choose Accept on our cookie banner. If you choose Reject, we do not load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key maz_cookie_consent) so we remember it on return visits. You can change it anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.
Outbound “View on Amazon” links are Amazon Associate affiliate links (tag plainugly-20). Amazon may set its own cookies when you visit Amazon.com — see Amazon’s privacy policy for details.
Product images are hotlinked from Amazon’s media CDN and remain Amazon’s property.
